As a Registered Massage Therapist I have deep respect for the healing powers of the body. What is causing us pain one day could be bringing us joy on another. Our bodies give us the power to create life, grow food, hug our loved ones, play rugby, dance, build our homes, kayak, swim, climb, and heal our wounds.
Sometimes our body does all this quite easily and sometimes it does not. We expect a lot from our bodies in an environment and culture that comes with many inherent stresses. With stress can come injury and disease. This trauma can slow our healing and change our life along with causing us physical pains.
Our bodies will remind us that we are powerful and potent healers when we take the time to tune in and listen.
